The space

TOKO is a flexible meeting location of 60 m² and offers space for up to 40 people.

You can arrange this space however you like. Think of meeting setups such as the boardroom and U-shape, but also theater style for presentations. For a more informal setting, use the dynamic living room setup.

There are also two ‘breakout rooms’ available for smaller groups, and outside, a large picnic table for use.

Interior

You’ll find TOKO in the Zeefgebouw of the old sugar factory. The industrial appearance has been well preserved, without sacrificing warmth and atmosphere.

The meeting space itself was designed by the owner of TOKO: interior and furniture designer Melle Koot. His designs are characterized by their sustainable and innovative nature.

Walking

Take a break and stretch your legs between meetings with an urban walk across the Suikerterrein. During the walk, you’ll be surrounded by a mix of green, water, and the unique start-up architecture around the industrial heritage of the old sugar factory.

Guided tour

Combine your meeting with an interesting tour. As you walk around the terrain for about an hour, learn about the various companies and studios located there.

Facilities

TOKO provides everything you need for a successful gathering. Use the 75-inch smart TV with easy-to-use speakers or choose the old-school whiteboard or flip chart with toolkit. There’s an open pantry with fresh, local coffee from Koffiestation, treats from Vandeeg Vandaag, various organic juices, soft drinks, and tea.

Catering

In addition to the food and drinks in the pantry, catering is available.

TOKO will tailor this entirely to your schedule and preferences.

A drink during the meeting? Breakfast, lunch, or dinner together? Or a drinks reception afterward? Everything is possible.

The dishes are carefully prepared by local horeca partners such as Pernikkel, Feel Good, or Herberg Onder de Linden. There’s always an option that perfectly

Accessibility

TOKO is located 2.5 km from Grote Markt in the center of Groningen, practically on Ring West. This makes it easily accessible not only from Groningen city but also by car and bus from anywhere else in the country.

There is a large parking lot on the Suikerterrein. Two buses run from Groningen Central Station to the bus stop just a three-minute walk away. Thanks to the bicycle bridge over the Hoendiep, you can also reach the location easily on foot or by bike.

You will find TOKO to the right of the factory chimney, next to the grass field, with a pink door to the right of the large red staircase.
